IT Programme

The IT Programme implements specific courses related to IT auditing and ICT skills such as Analytical Data for Auditors, IT Auditing, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), IT Controls, Public Data Analysis, Digital Forensic Auditing, Government Electronic Accounting System, Informative Presentation Skills and Data Analysis Techniques.

The IT Programme also plays a role in providing training for capacity and competency development to officers in the National Audit Department and other external agencies who are interested in improving their knowledge and skills in IT auditing as well as ICT skills.

Objective

• Enhancing the knowledge of course participants on the concept and process of IT auditing based on international standards and guidelines of the National Audit Department;
• Expose course participants to tools and software used in IT auditing and data analysis;
• Improving the knowledge of course participants related to techniques of finding, collecting, analysing and reporting data obtained into a form of information that can be used;
• To increase the knowledge of course participants on government electronic financial systems such as iGFMAS, iSPEKS, ePerolehan and others;
• Provide exposure to course participants to the government's intentions in the use of electronic financial systems from cash basis to accrual basis;
• Improve participants' knowledge in the technique of preparing quality graphic and clear presentations and achieve the intended meaning so that the findings are not disputed;
• Improve participants' knowledge in editing techniques, finding materials and animation in producing more interesting montages.
