Professional Certification Program
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME
Introduction
The Professional Certification Programme of the National Audit Department (NAD) was first implemented in 2014. To date, four groups or known as Cohorts 1, 2, 3 and 4 involving a total of 30 officers have been given study funding. The funding for professional certification offered uses the allocation of the Trust Account for Expertise Training and Research of the National Audit Department.
This study funding is a manifestation of NAD's commitment and determination to develop knowledgeable and skilled human capital. This is in line with the requirements of the Code of Ethics for Public Sector Auditors which recommends that auditors strive to continuously improve their competencies and knowledge in line with current needs and developments. Apart from proving NAD's commitment in producing high-performing public sector auditors, this programme is also seen to be able to set a measure for public sector auditors to be on par with auditors at the international level.
